Experience in treating OCD
Starting in 2015, I began working with individuals struggling with OCD and related conditions. My clinical training began at the partial hospitalization (PHP) level of care, where I worked with patients facing complex and acute presentations of OCD, anxiety disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, eating disorders and other co-occurring concerns. I learned so much in that setting and will always be so honored to have been a part of those individuals lives. That is where I learned to evidence-based interventions such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), laying a strong foundation for my clinical approach today. I currently own and am the sole practitioner at Limitless Counseling Center in Illinois. Over the years I have narrowed my focus to specialize in the treatment of adults with OCD and anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience using ERP and ACT to treat various OCD subtypes, including harm OCD, sexual orientation OCD, pedophile OCD (POCD), health anxiety, contamination fears, perfectionism, and intrusive thoughts related to many other subtypes and themes of anxiety and OCD. Additionally, I hold specialized training and clinical experience in working with individuals navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum OCD and anxiety. I am passionate about this work because these are disorders are often underdiagnosed and misunderstood. I strive to provide a compassionate, evidence-informed approach that balances effective intervention with deep respect for the sensitivity of this life stage for birthing people and caregivers. I continue to stay current with best practices through ongoing education and consultation and am committed to providing high-quality, individualized care to support clients in reclaiming their lives from OCD and anxiety.
About
I am a mom of two children and live in the Chicagoland area. For fun I love yoga, walks in the woods (or as far away from cars as possible), trips to the farmers market and whatever hobby I am fascinated by at the time. I truly love this work and hope to continue growing my practice to help as many people on their journey toward values based living as possible.
